Hendrickson’s HTB LT is a lightweight and non-torque reactive rear air suspension. Available on International ProStar trucks, HTB LT weighs in as the lightest suspension in its class, the company claims, saving up to 263 lb (119 kg) compared to industry-standard, 40,000-lb (18,143-kg) suspensions. HTB LT’s weight savings is attributed to its design that features parallelogram geometry, which thereby eliminates leaf springs and reduces components for additional weight savings. The torque box system improves multi-axial stability and control. The crossmember, frame hangers, and torque rods are designed to reduce weight while improving durability. The HTB LT is suitable for fleets in weight-sensitive applications such as tankers, bulk haulers, and refrigerated carriers, where additional payload is a major benefit.
