The Micron Xtrue true planetary gearheads from Thomson are available in 40-, 60-, 80-, 120-, and 160-mm (1.6-, 2.4-, 3.1-, 4.7-, and 6.3-in) frame sizes. The gearheads are designed to move large loads quietly and easily using the company's True Planetary gearing, which offers improved load capacity and lower backlash. The Xtrue series delivers 13 arc/min operation, with torque capacity up to 876 N•m (646 lb•ft) and ratio availability of 3:1 through 100:1. Other features include a tapped face output that enables drop-in replacement for similarly configured gearheads as well as use of the company's RediMount mounting system, which enables the gearhead to be mounted to any motor in three steps: align, mount, and tighten. All Xtrue components are restriction-of-hazardous-substances compliant.
