The S100 from Grote Industries is a 12-V white LED surface-mount dome lamp featuring optional, built-in infrared motion activation. The need for installation of an independent switch is eliminated with the S100. The low-profile lamp is activated using a passive infrared motion sensor located in the lamp body, which offers optimal, energy-efficient LED illumination on demand. The sensor is calibrated to recognize the heat signature unique to humans, and when it detects movement by a person within 6 ft (1.8 m), it immediately turns on. The lamp will then remain on as movement continues and stay on for three minutes after the last motion is detected. Easy to mount, install, and operate, all S100 LED dome lamps are engineered for durability using high-impact, UV-stabilized polycarbonate material and feature moisture-resistant construction.

Development of advanced automotive technologies is increasingly being driven by suppliers, rather than OEMs. And megadeals worth at least $500 million that are behind a growing number of next-gen technologies may reach the highest level since before the Great Recession. That’s the view from Las Vegas, as the 2017 CES (formerly the Consumer Electronics Show) opens to over 160,000 attendees.
