Inclination and angular rate sensor

The NGS1 sensor from Sensor Technik Wiedemann functions as an inclinometer or a gyroscopic angular rate sensor, or as a combination of the two in one housing. The device is suited for use in mobile work machines and off-highway vehicles. As a gyroscopic rate sensor, the standard measurement range is ±75°/s with an accuracy of less than or equal to 0.03%/s and a 3 dB bandwidth of 40 Hz. As an inclinometer, the standard measurement range is ±90° (accuracy less than or equal to 0.1°), with a 3 dB bandwidth of 15 Hz. The inclinometer version can also measure accelerations of up to 6 g. The sensor includes a CAN bus interface and current outputs for analog interfacing (one for each axis). The CAN interface has a diagnostic capability that allows recalibration of the offset point after installation on the vehicle.
