The TTC 50 electronic controller family from TTControl features a new electronic architecture and delivers flexibility, modularity, and user friendliness. The controllers can be used with most sensors on the market. They are designed for maximum flexibility and configurability; a small daughterboard allows for enhancement of the standard product with customer-specific resources. Users need little training to program the ECU since I/O options are interactively configurable via the CoDeSys PLC configuration tree. Reading inputs or setting outputs is done by reading from or writing to CoDeSys variables. The CANopen standard is supported. Other features include IP 67, reverse polarity, and load dump protection.

As ground vehicles employ more electronic sensing, control and communication systems, design engineers are increasingly utilizing more commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modules. Though COTS slashes development time and costs, it’s still difficult for many military users to find COTS boards that meet their low-volume demands for ruggedization and redundancy.
