Topcon Positioning System’s GRS-1 (Geodetic Rover System) is a fully integrated dual-constellation, network-enabled RTK rover system with an all-in-one handheld GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver and field controller with high-speed processor, improved memory, built-in camera, compass, and bar code reading function. Additional features include an SD memory card slot, optional internal GSM or CDMA modem, and wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. The GRS-1 offers a reduced size and mass and uses a Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system to run TopSURV surveying software, while the receiver and field controller offers a 3.7-in touch-screen display and rugged construction. No additional modem or equipment is required, and the GRS-1 can be used as a static post processed receiver system. By attaching an external antenna, centimeter accuracy is achievable.
