Immersive Technologies, a supplier of operator training simulators used in the mining and earthmoving industries, has opened a regional headquarters office in Salt Lake City, UT. The new facility allows for expansion of customer support and improved staff development opportunities. Immersive Technologies last year supplied its largest individual order when it provided five AE Simulators to Elk Valley Coal (now Teck Cominco Coal) in Canada. The company also recently supplied simulators to Western Goldfields’ new Mesquite gold mine in California as well as to Chevron’s oil sands mining operations in Canada’s Athabasca Basin.
