Same Deutz-Fahr boosts production in India

Same Deutz-Fahr has enlarged its production plant in Ranipet, India, to allow for increased production volumes. The plant, which already produces 40- to 70-hp (30- to 52-kW) tractors and three- and four-cylinder engines, will bring the total covered surface to 12,000 m² (129,200 ft²) and the total area to 132,000 m² (1.4 million ft²) with a maximum production capacity of 11,000 tractors and 15,000 engines a year. Also planned for this year is the introduction of a new 65- to 75-hp (48- to 56-kW) platform with a Tier 3 specification engine for export markets.
