Sunnen’s HTA all-electric system was engineered for hydraulic service facilities’ resurfacing and repair of actuators on construction, mining, farming, and forestry equipment. The PLC-controlled machine is available for 6- and 12-ft (2- and 4-m) part lengths and handles from 2.5 to 21 in (63.5 to 533 mm) diameters and up to 4000 lb (1814 kg). Features include a touch screen for setting machine parameters; load meter to determine areas of bore tightness; and an electronically controlled, 3-hp (2.24-kW) ac gear motor. The ergonomically designed actuator hone is suitable for resurfacing and repair work where light-duty stock removal up to 0.030 in (0.76 mm) is needed, and it eliminates noise, leaks, valve adjustments, and variability of hydraulic systems.
