Vishay Intertechnology’s series of radial aluminum capacitors features low impedance values, high capacitances, high ripple currents, and high-temperature operation up to 125°C (257°F). The RoHS-compliant 146 RTI devices are available in 13 case sizes, ranging from 10 x 12 mm (0.39 x 0.47 in) to 18 x 35 mm (0.71 x 1.38 in). For enhanced performance and reliability, the capacitors provide very low impedance, a high-rated ripple current of 3200 mA at 125°C (257°F), and a capacitance range from 68 to 6800 µF over a voltage range of 16 to 63 v. A polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a nonsolid, self-healing electrolyte and radial leads, the device is suitable for smoothing, filtering, buffering, and voltage decoupling applications in SMPS (switch mode power supply) and dc-to-dc power supplies for automotive systems.
