Mack Trucks Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America have chosen HUSS for their new retrofit diesel particulate filter solution to allow operators of older-model Mack and Volvo trucks to meet stringent new emissions requirements approved by California environmental regulators in December 2008. The HUSS MK diesel particulate filter system, an active regeneration technology, is verified to meet the state’s CARB Level 3 requirements (greater than 85% particulate collection). The HUSS retrofit system is capable of collecting up to 99% of diesel particulate-matter emissions and can also be applied to on-road engines using diesel fuel that contains as much as 20% biodiesel.
