Eurocopter UK announced plans to build a helicopter service center in Dyce, Aberdeen. The facility will offer logistical and technical support and flight simulator training for the U.K.’s main heliport for the offshore oil industry. The Eurocopter center will comprise a 10,000-ft² logistics warehouse and 5000 ft² of offices as well as 5,360 ft² of flight simulator accommodation, which will house Eurocopter’s first U.K.-based EC225 Flight Training Simulator. Work at the site will begin in April, and the facility is expected to be completed by December.
