The ZXMS6004FF from Diodes is the newest addition to the company’s IntelliFET product line. This fully self-protected low-side MOSFET is packaged in a 2.3- x 2.8-mm (0.09- x 0.11-in) footprint flat SOT23F package. Requiring 85% less board space than incumbent 7.3- x 6.7-mm (0.29- x 0.26-in) SOT223 packaged parts, the AECQ101-compatible IntelliFET device protects itself and the load while helping to reduce component count, PCB size, and overall system cost in automotive and industrial applications. The ZXMS6004FF’s ultrasmall form factor enables space-restricted applications to integrate self-protected MOSFETs. With a continuous current rating of 1A, on-state resistance is only 500 mOhm, ensuring that power dissipation is kept to an absolute minimum.
