Advantech adds the VITA-350P Windows mobile data terminal and the TREK-305R 5.7-in (145-mm) TFT vehicle-mount display panel to its Mobile Resource Management product line. The two offer a fleet management solution with real-time tracking, dispatch navigation, and vehicle data collection system. The shock-resistant VITA-350P can monitor common vehicle performance data including speed, fuel level, brake switch status, and odometer information from long haul trucks as well as delivery, waste disposal, and tank fleets and trailers. TREK-305R’s display panel features a resistive touch screen, and a mounting kit improves installation. Geographical Information System information provides the location of all vehicles, and the system calculates the shortest routes to save time and resources.
