The No. 815, a 500°F (260°C) electric rotary hearth oven, from Grieve preheats gears at a customer’s facility. A 72-in (1830-mm) rotary hearth is constructed from angle rings with 90 slots to hold the workpieces on edge while processing. The hearth is powered by a 0.25-hp (0.1865-kW) motor through a gear reducer with a torque-limiting device and indexes one position when the loading door is opened and closed. Two 2-hp (1.5-kW) recirculating blowers provide a vertical airflow over the workload. Other features include safety equipment for flammable solvents, manual reset excess temperature controller, separate heating element contactors, aluminized steel interior and exterior, workspace dimensions of 76 x 76 x 24 in (1930 x 1930 x 610 mm), 4-in (102-mm) insulated oven walls, powered exhauster, and purge timer.
