FreeFlight Systems’ RA 4000 radar altimeter, which recently achieved TSO-C87 authorization, provides precise altitude above-ground-level information from 0-2000 ft. The system consists of a remote unit and dual antennas for increased accuracy. It enhances operational safety during approaches, nighttime operations, and hazardous flight above irregular terrain. The unit is flexible in aircraft placement and easy to install.
