Adchem features a high-performance adhesive transfer tape for bonding to thermoplastic polyolefins and other low-surface energy materials such as powder-coated metals and polypropylene. Used in automotive applications, 7854 demonstrates a bond to ether, ester, and low-perm urethane and polyvinyl chloride foams. The company’s 7854 transfer tapes consist of 4 mil (101.6 µm) of a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive system with aggressive loop tack and peel characteristics combined with moderate shear properties. It is available on a 74-lb (34-kg) poly-coated release liner, which is engineered for easy release, and a 12-pt board liner, which is suitable for kiss cutting of laminated parts.
