A family of cables from Tyco Electronics offers a low-smoke, zero-halogen design in water-blocked and non-water-blocked versions that meet various requirements for flammability, smoke emissions, and halogen content. Designed for shipboard Profibus networks, Zerohal Profibus cables are fully qualified to MIL-DTL-24643/62 and feature a rugged design to withstand the applied forces during installation. The 150-ohm cables support Profibus and other industrial protocols at data rates to 12 Mb/s. Water-blocked versions meet water-tightness requirements; cables are available with single or double braided shields and are compatible with commercially available Profibus connectors.
