Magna's Cosma unit to open plant in India

Cosma International, an operating unit of Magna International, has announced that it will build a plant in Pune, India, bringing the number of Cosma operations in that country to two. The company has a fully equipped product and process engineering services group in Bangalore. Workers at the Pune plant, which is slated to begin operations in 2010, will produce stamped and welded assemblies for global and regional customers. Other products and processes, such as hydroforming and class A sheet metal, are expected to be added later.
