A series of snap rings from Smalley Steel Ring are produced by edgewinding without special tooling charges and are suitable for automotive and heavy equipment industries for heavy-duty and impact loading applications. Four series of rings are available in stock and are interchangeable with Eaton rings. The XAH, XAS, XDH, and XDS series contain more than 300 rings in dimensions from .375 to 10 in (9.5 to 254 mm). The company also offers four standard series of snap rings in both inch and metric units. In total, more than 1000 stock sizes are available in both carbon and 302 stainless steel; specials can be made from .200 to 90 in (5 to 2286 mm).
