Spiralock re-engineers the standard internal female thread form and adds a 30° wedge ramp at the root of the thread. Based on the design, Spiralock thread form is resistant to loosening and stripping from transverse vibration. Products include flange and self-clinching nuts, wire thread inserts, taps and gages, and thread milling cutters. Eliminating the need for secondary locking devices, Spiralock provides a fastening solution for various commercial vehicle applications including transmissions, powertrain, diesel engines, chassis assemblies, power steering, and suspensions. Benefits of the company’s 12-point nuts include vibration loosening resistance, reusability, elimination of secondary locking devices, improved quality and joint fatigue life, thin wall, light weight, dimensional precision, reduced rounding over corners, reduced stripping or damaging the hex, high-strength alloy steel, and high bearing face accuracy.
