Yazaki’s Battery Fuse Terminal (BFT) product family is designed to protect the battery wiring harness. Mounting the BFT directly on the battery pole reduces part count and space. The product also helps avoid potential fires by eliminating short circuits from current flowing from the battery to the wire. Other features include cooling ribs to reduce operating temperature, a reduced number of components through use of bolts and integrated circuits with busbars, a decreased total wire harness cost with standardized components, and improved connection to the wire harness with connectors or screws.
