MTS Systems has expanded its portfolio of sensors designed for mobility industries, including agriculture, construction, open cast mining, material handling, municipal vehicles, military, and other off-road applications. To facilitate sensor specification, a product selector guide features the line of Temponsonics hydraulic non-contact mobile sensors, which operate under high levels of shock and vibration, adverse climatic conditions, and electrical magnetic interference. The M-series was designed to be embedded into a hydraulic cylinder; the model MH consists of a rugged housing with embedded electronics, a pressure-proof sensor pipe that protects the internal sensing element, and a position magnet; the model MT is suitable for applications where redundancy is required; and the MS is a compact sensor designed for use in welded or tie-rod cylinders with diameters of 38 mm (1.5 in) or larger.
