Designed to meet the rigorous demands of the commercial vehicle industry and heavy-duty industrial applications, Tyco Electronics’ AMPSEAL16 wire-to-wire and wire-to-device connector line features the company's heavy-duty stamped and formed size 16 pin and socket contacts as a terminal system. The contacts are stamped and formed versions of screw-machined MIL-C-39029 contacts. The 2-, 3-, 4-, 6-, 8-, and 12-position receptacle and pin housings offer a one-piece assembly that reduces handling costs and part number inventory. The device offers several features including lance-less contacts that prevent damaged tangs or tangled contacts and integral contacts that protect against accidental unlocking. Typical applications include diesel engine electronics, sensor interconnect, transmission and joystick controls, and agricultural equipment.
