The e-max injection-molding machine from Engel North America is an all-electric solution with a compact design of 13 x 4 ft (4 x 1.2 m) for the 110-ton machine. Features include a 1.4-s dry cycle time; peak pressures up to 40,600 psi (280 MPa); and injection speeds up to 17.7 in/s (449 mm/s). Low-friction platen movement provides reduced energy consumption. The unit combines highly integrated control and parallel drive technology for increased performance, and oil-free tie-bars and enclosed belt drives suitable for use in clean-room operations. Sizes range from 55 to 200 ton (50  to 181 t).
