MTS Systems adds a pulse width modulated (PWM) digital output option to its M-Series MH model mobile hydraulic sensors, suitable for switching to digital without going to a CAN bus protocol. Analog, digital, or CAN bus outputs are available in the same mechanical package, allowing users to match electrical outputs for their equipment and applications. The MH with PWM output is available with frequency from 50 to 500 Hz with a 100 g shock and 25 g vibration rating, designed for rugged environments such as construction, agriculture, and other off-highway machinery. The sensor provides a measuring range of 2 to 98 in (50 to 2500 mm) while maintaining accuracy and repeatability, according to the company, and provides four position output options. Operating temperature range is -40 to +105°C (-40 to +221°F).
