PXI switching modules

  • 30-Jun-2008 09:16 EDT

Two devices from Pickering Interfaces address requirements for ARINC 608A switching. The PXI switching modules can be supported in any 3U PXI chassis, and can also be supported in an LXI modular switching chassis. The 40-569 is a four- or eight-slot BRIC module that integrates a 16-wire analog bus with bus matrix cards and resource distributor cards in accordance with Appendix D of the ARINC 608 specification. The scalable design permits the inclusion of up to two off-resource distributor subsystems and six off-bus matrix subsystems into a single switching entity. The 40-618 is a source switching module that implements the switching functions defined in Appendix D of the ARINC specification.
