Pratt & Whitney has established strategic university partnerships with Georgia Tech, Penn State, and Virginia Tech. P&W will partner with the universities on fundamental research initiatives that support the design and development of gas turbine propulsion systems used in commercial, military, and emerging-technology and environmental programs. The close working relationships will enable P&W to capture the innovative expertise and ideas of the faculty and students at these leading engineering universities. The universities will strategically partner with P&W in the areas of combustion, materials, aerodynamics, heat transfer, structural analysis, design, test, and sensors.
