The Spicer HSY08 powersynchro transmission from Dana offers either electric or automated range shifting with improved controllability and features a low overall length to accommodate the short wheelbase of telescopic boom handlers. Lateral offset of outputs support parallel side-engine installations, and an engine-dependent mechanical power take-off for implement drives is available as an option. The transmission was designed for use on Dana’s side-mounted cab telescopic boom handler system, which offers increased productivity, higher reach, and up to a 5 ton (4.5 t) lift capacity.
