MAN begins production in Poland

MAN Nutzfahrzeuge opened a new assembly plant for heavy trucks in Niepolomice, near Cracow, Poland. The new plant will build heavy MAN trucks with gross weights over 16 t (18 ton), mostly from the MAN TGA WW range. Series production is currently under way at the facility, and with a workforce of 400 it was expected to produce up to 4000 trucks by the end of 2007. By mid-2010, the facility is expected to employ at least 650 people.
