Liebherr-Components recently introduced its newly developed LH30VO axial piston pump of swash plate design. The medium-pressure pump complements the existing product portfolio in the range of 280-bar (4060-psi) nominal pressure and is suited for use in mobile machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders and other construction machinery—for example, as a steering pump, fan drive or as a drive for equipment cylinders. The pump for all mobile applications with open circulation has a specific delivery rate of 45 cm³ (2.75 in³) per rotation. The LH30VO is fitted with two controls—an electric proportional pressure control with negative characteristic curve (DE) and a load-sensing control (LS-DA), i.e. a pressure cut-off or pressure restriction. The swash plate adjustment is extremely precise and robust. More controls are gradually being added, whose priority is determined by customer requirements. A proportional volume control (VE), a power control (LR) and an electronic pressure control with positive characteristic curve are envisaged. The pump was designed as a modular system from the start; larger and smaller sizes will be added, according to Liebherr. Other highlights include a maximum speed of 3000 rpm in the standard version and a 130% through-drive option. For more information, visit www.liebherr.com.
