Volvo Buses recently opened its fourth Volvo Bus Center in India, this one in Bangalore. The company’s “bus centers” are an aftermarket concept offering a range of services, parts, training, and “soft solutions” at one location, with the aim of enhancing product uptime, product upkeep, and the overall customer experience. The Bangalore Bus Center comprises 43,000 ft2 (3995 m2) and includes 16 bays. The offerings will include service, accident repairs, Volvo Genuine parts, driver training, advisory and refurbishment, among other support services. The new bus center, which can accommodate 15 to 20 vehicles per day, is located at KIADB Industrial Area on the Bommasandra-Jigani Link Road. Volvo Buses previously announced its plans to establish a total of five bus centers in key locations. Besides Bangalore, Volvo Bus Centers are already operational in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi; the fifth bus center will be located near Mumbai. The company aims to service 80% of Volvo buses operating in India with the five bus centers.
