Southco expands its R4-EM electronic rotary latch product class to include a version suitable for outdoor applications where a moisture- and corrosion-resistant electronic latch is required. With corrosion-resistant plated steel and stainless steel construction and fully sealed internal actuator, the R4-EM Outdoor provides reliable electronic locking resistant to moisture and dust. The embedded electronic control improves integration with an external control system, while flexible, concealed installation provides vandal-resistance and accommodates various outdoor applications. A high working load ensures reliable operation in demanding applications. Additionally, the R4-EM Outdoor accepts control inputs from any access control device and delivers design flexibility.
