High-production hydroforming press

Through its parent company Graebener Maschinentechnik, Graebener-Reika Inc. (GRI) offers a four-column hydroforming press suitable for high-volume environments such as the automotive industry. According to the company, the new system doubles the number of parts produced in a single press stroke while cutting the per-stroke cycle time in half. The presses are available in closing forces from 800 to 5000 ton. The press crown and the bed are connected to each other and clamped by means of four tie rods with the crown of the press supported by the side columns. This column design offers easy accessibility to the press and die space area from all four sides, claims the company.
