Pneumatic control of force and motion with high accuracy and low friction is enabled by Airpot’s Accurate Force Pneumatics packages. Literature from the company aids design engineers in selecting and specifying the components necessary to design accurate pneumatic force control systems using: clean, regulated air; proportional pressure control; and precise actuation at a lower cost than purchasing individual components. The self-aligning actuators, anti-stiction cylinders, and AB zero-friction air cylinder actuators are suited for applications with the need to move, hold, support, or press with repeatable and accurate low force over a wide temperature range without lubrication and with nearly unlimited life. Each of the four major product groups (damping, actuation, displacement, and optimized pneumatic systems) offers instrument-quality pneumatic devices designed for accurate and repeatable force control and smooth motion.
