Expanding its inspection solutions for the industrial/manufacturing sectors, Creaform’s MetraSCAN-R series robot-mounted optical CMM 3-D scanners offer automated inspection on and off the production line. To meet the need of high-rate serial production processes within a typical cycle time, the scanner can inspect various parts directly on the shop floor, using TRUaccuracy technology and extensible measurement volume. Scanners are offered in two versions, 70-R and 210-R, and are designed for automated and robotized inspection applications such as mass production inspection of parts ranging from 0.5 to 3 m (1.6 to 9.8 ft) in size, part-to-CAD analysis, supplier product quality inspection, or conformity assessment of 3-D models against original parts. TRUaccuracy technology guarantees shop floor accuracy up to 0.085 mm (0.003 in). Other features include dynamic referencing, automatic alignment, and versatility.
