To mitigate the complicated preparation associated with B-staged epoxies, Master Bond develops FLM36 for various bonding and sealing applications. The B-staged film eliminates mixing and measuring and can withstand temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). FLM36 retains high-strength properties upon prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures and bonds well to various substrates including metals, composites, glass, and plastics. Thermally conductive FLM36 also acts as an electrical insulator and is flexible to endure shocks as well as thermal cycling. The film is chemically resistant to water, acids, bases, fuels, and oils, and offers uniform bond line thickness and limited squeeze out during bonding. The rugged film is available in three standard sizes and can be cut into various shapes. It does not require freezing or refrigeration and is not prone to cracking.
