Omnetics Connector’s latching Micro-D and BiLobe connectors use a squeeze-latch system to make quick cable connections mating connectors and panel equipment. Small, lightweight connectors are available at 0.025 and 0.050 in (0.635 and 1.27 mm) spacing and passed extensive shock and vibration testing, including 100+ lb (454+ kg) pull force. The push-and-latch design reduces the time and effort required to plug the connector into a circuit by eliminating tool use, and panel-mounted versions offer options for connecting front panels to inside instrumentation. Rugged connectors are built with nickel-plated aluminum alloy shells and operate from -55 to +125°C (-67 to +257°F); applications include portable electronic modules and instruments in military applications. Various wire counts and cables can be custom designed for long-range service.
