Truck-Lite designed a custom plug-and-play LED headlight to improve visibility and vehicle longevity. The lens is constructed with a coating to combat hazing, crazing, and yellowing. Rated at over 30,000 h, the headlights were initially developed for military use and increase perception with more natural light, improving nighttime object recognition and daytime visibility. Truck-Lite's LED beam pattern also reduces eye strain for drivers and decreases harsh headlight glare to oncoming traffic. Other features include a reduction in amperage draw on the vehicle's electrical system, reserving power for other uses and extending lighting system life, as well as improved exposure to extreme weather and environmental wear. Lights are rated at 2.9 A on low beam and 4 A at 12.8 V.
