Liftgate rod locks

Advanced Machine & Engineering (AME) offers Amlock power-off mechanical rod locks. If hydraulic pressure is lost from a de-energized directional valve or a broken hydraulic hose, Amlock mechanically holds the rod in place, securing the liftgate position. A shuttle valve feeds pressure to the directional valve, and when the valve is energized, the rod lock releases. Finn uses AME’s Amlok rod locks on the interior liftgate of its hydroseeding blower trucks. While two people typically manage the liftgate to disperse media, combining the Amlok rod lock, rod, and rod eye enables a mechanical stop to hold the liftgate at any angle and at various heights for troubleshooting and maintenance. One operator can raise and lower the gate, improving efficiency.
