Mitsubishi Electric offers the Diamond Power A160 brushless alternator for heavy-duty truck applications to deliver fuel savings, increased uptime, and improved battery life. The design achieves efficiency and performance results with a 25% reduced mass over competing alternators. Other features include extreme heat tolerance; improved cooling through advanced air flow geometry; over-sized bearings for higher-rated performance; robust electronics with an integrated regulator, rectifier, and diode for vibration resistance; reduced process variation with fewer fasteners and components; and extended battery life without reduced charging output at a pre-set temperature and without regulator cut-off. The Diamond Power A160 offers remote-sense technology and over 100 A charge at idle and is designed to fit all engines with pad mounting locations.
