WIZinspect from Nextec Laser Metrology is a 3-D multiposition laser inspection solution that enables manufacturers to improve the quality control process. According to the company, WIZinspect offers faster speed and higher precision while lowering cost and setup time. Providing a total system precision of less than 14 µm (551 µin), WIZinspect can be integrated with factory floor automation to provide an in-process turnkey inspection solution. Users can achieve 100% inspection of components, even in high-productivity environments, claims Nextec. WIZinspect is based on Nextec’s vision and laser technologies that feature patented optics and image processing. The large dynamic range and high accuracy of the probe makes it easy to set up the alignment loop and measurement paths to collect hundreds of points quickly and accurately.
