Extended temperature transducers

Technology Assistance BCNA 2010 offers a series of universal sensor and transducer interface (USTI-EXT) integrated circuits (IC) with an extended temperature range. The IC features similar performance to the company’s integrated universal frequency-to-digital converter but performs in a temperature range of -55 to +150°C (-67 to +302°F). The USTI-EXT has a reduced external clock frequency of 16 MHz with increased internal reference frequency and a reduced conversion speed. Suitable for various applications including automotive, avionics, space, and military, the USTI-EXT IC enables designers to distribute intelligence and control functions directly into or near gearboxes, transfer cases, engine sensor actuators, turbochargers, and exhaust systems. ICs can be used for various quasi-digital vehicle sensors such as wheel speed, vehicle speed, turbine speed, pressure, fuel level, mass air flow, and torque.
