The VRAD-1510 low-power rotary actuator from Pangolin Laser Systems increases the speed and range of rotation of motor shaft movement. Based on a dual-coil, segmented stator design, VRAD-1510 was designed for laser scanning and lighting gear but can be used across various electromechanical applications, including automotive systems, industrial and commercial machinery, robotics, and valve control. A magnetic spring and preloaded precision ball bearings improve durability. The design also eliminates mechanical stops on shaft rotation, reducing noise, wear, and vibration. The coils may be driven in series, in parallel, or separately, and the actuator features front and rear shafts, allowing multiple points of attachment or the use of an encoder for closed loop operation. The VRAD-1510 is configurable to customer specifications, including torque factor, shaft diameter and length, and temperature range.
