Eaton offers hydraulic hose technology using real-time hose condition monitoring to report impending failure in high-pressure hose assemblies. Developed with Purdue University, LifeSense hose technology continuously monitors the health of the hose and alerts users when an assembly approaches the end of its useful life. Benefits include up to 50% longer hydraulic hose life without premature discarding, resulting in replacement cost and downtime savings as well as improved productivity. In addition, hose failures in the field present safety issues, environmental concerns, and result in unscheduled system downtime with economic impacts, all prevented with LifeSense. Available in 8, 12, and 16 two-wire hose assemblies, LifeSense offers 2SN pressure-rated hose performance and is certified to conventional hydraulic hose product industry specifications.
