Sakor Technologies' VersaDyne is an integrated system for testing two- and four-cycle engines in outboard motors, motorcycles, tractors, lawn care tools, and generators. Available from 5 to 30 kW (6.7 to 40 hp), the VersaDyne features a regenerative ac motoring dynamometer in a convertible package. The VersaDyne quickly can be converted between its horizontal and vertical orientations. Flux Vector technology offers a range of speed and torque control to test various engines, and a regenerative design returns absorbed power to the plant mains, minimizing heat rejection with no need for external cooling. Motoring capability provides automatic engine starting and testing of transient engine loads. A DynoLAB controller automates test cycle control in a Windows-based environment with a drag-and-drop interface, and the expandable I/O system provides data acquisition.
