The all-electric HTA hone from Sunnen offers increased part capacity and stroker torque for bore resurfacing of hydraulic actuators in construction, mining, farming, and forestry equipment. Both the HTA-2100 for 6.9-ft (2.1-m) part lengths and the HTA-4100 for 13.5-ft (4.1-m) parts can handle up to 8000 lb (3630 kg) and can be configured for lengths up to 65.6 ft (20 m). The HTA hone is suitable for repair work where stock removal up to 0.030 in (0.76 mm) is needed to oversize deeply scratched bores. An electronically controlled, 3-hp (2.2-kW) ac gear motor powers the spindle, and the servo-driven stroking system has a speed range of 5 to 90 ft/min (1.5 to 27.4 m/min). The all-electric machine reduces noise, leaks, and valve adjustments inherent to hydraulic systems. Other features include a compact, ergonomic design for improved maintenance and conserved floor space.
