Next-generation Thomson ElecTrak Pro Series electric linear actuators' electromechanical solution improves accuracy, repeatability, and control with maximized machine uptime. The ElecTrak Pro Series provides easy installation and requires no ongoing maintenance. Other features include a compact design and short retracted length coupled with a lightweight, high-strength IP66 housing with optional IP67 protection. Actuators are suited for use in space-restricted applications such as lawn and turf care, utility, and construction vehicles. The built-in microprocessor provides electronic load monitoring to improve actuator life and reliability in harsh conditions. Control options include programmable limit switches, low level switching, and end-of-stroke indication. A low-voltage switching option allows direct interfacing with programmable controllers. Stainless steel cover and extension tubes prevent corrosion resistance, while the electric actuators minimize environmental damage from fluid leaks.

As ground vehicles employ more electronic sensing, control and communication systems, design engineers are increasingly utilizing more commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modules. Though COTS slashes development time and costs, it’s still difficult for many military users to find COTS boards that meet their low-volume demands for ruggedization and redundancy.
