The Smart Linear Actuator (SLA) 8210 Series from Sonceboz was designed for applications requiring seamless linear motion in harsh conditions. Embedded drive electronics with communication interface improve precision and integration in narrow spaces. Diagnosis functionalities include stall detection and overvoltage. The compact bi-polar stepper offers 24 steps per revolution and a stroke of 9 mm (0.35 in). Transformation of rotary movement to linear is made by a screw-nut, and the mechanical interface can be adapted to customer specifications. The IP65 stepper motor withstands a -40 to +120°C (-40 to +248°F) temperature range and up to 10 g vibrations. A position sensor can be integrated. Robust and compact, the linear stepper motor is a suitable mechatronic drive solution for mechanical position and flow regulation in the off-highway sector.
