Nook Industries' electric cylinder series was designed for use in harsh industrial applications. Ground and hard-chrome plated actuator tubes enclose the company's acme and ball screw system cylinder, making the series suitable for off-highway industrial applications including military use. Cylinders lack a direct power source as well as hoses to prevent leakage and offer a smaller footprint. Benefits include improved levels of control, reliability, and precision. In-line actuator cylinders offer no reduction and are designed to have a motor or gear reducer directly coupled to provide fast operation and/or higher duty cycles. Electric cylinder accessories include servo motors, hand wheels, couplings, bellow boots, and limit switches.
